I was reading an article recently that predicted Bitcoin would reach $10,000 by the end of the year. While I too am optimistic what would this actually entail?
For a start the market cap would need to nearly quadruple to over £150 BILLION that means a lot of new money would have to be invested - to put a perspective on it 10 million NEW people who have never bought Bitcoin would each need to invest slightly over $13,000 to make up the rest of the market cap.
Of course this wouldn't actually have to happen, there is a lot of money in alt coins that could make its way in to Bitcoin.
The question is, is the momentum ready to pull through and take us to $10k?
Maybe by the end of 2018!
