The Russian Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev has confirmed that cryptic payments can be legally traded on exchanges.
Moiseev emphasized that his pledge was only valid if "appropriate regulation" was present. Although there is still no absolute legal certainty, the trend is true - a development that would have been unthinkable a year ago. Already since the end of 2016 high government and central bank representatives more and more to statements per Bitcoin and Co.
Nevertheless, cryptic payments are still to be defined as an asset rather than a currency. Thus Moiseev suggests:
Secondly, regulation should be based on a financial instrument. We will focus on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing as well as the protection of consumer rights.
All the transactions are to be tracked as a downside, just as in the traditional, regulated financial system.
