Hello everybody i now that a lot of time passed still i have post something.

But i think, that i have now a good text for you all.

I will show you why a decentralized exchange is so much better and have a higher security than a centralized one.

Below you will see some examples of the largest bitcoin hacks.

1. Mt. Gox

• The wallet was compromised and it was also an inside job
• 2014
• 850,000 BTC  were stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 5.950.000.000 USD

 2. Bitfinex

• User wallets were hacked
• 2016
• 119,756 BTC were stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 838.292.000 USD

3. Linode

• The wallet was compromised and it was also an inside job
• 2012
• 46,703 BTC were stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 326.921.000 USD

4.  Poloniex

• the hackers were able to exploit a faulty withdrawal code of the exchange
• 2014
• 12,3  of all BTC's were stolen

5. Bitstamp

• The wallet was compromised
• 2015
• 19,000 BTC were stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 133.000.000 USD

6. Bitstamp

• The wallet was compromised
• 2016
• 18,866 were BTC stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 132.062.000 USD

7. Bter 

• The wallet was compromised
• 2015
• 7,000 BTC stolen

With the price of today (7000 USD) it have an value of 49.000.000 USD

Why am i showing you this??

I want that you all think a while about this.
Read the full article and you will see, that it was the most of the time an inside job.

That is a big disadvantage from centralized exchange to a decentralized exchange, like BITSHARES !!!

there are a lots of other disadvantages, like higher fees, controlled wallets, servers that gets down and and and...
But i dont want to talk about this.
Just think acout the security.
An centralized exchange will never have an higher security like an DEX exchange.
Bitshares is one of the oldest exchanges and it have never been hacked !!!!

We all must support this genuis exchange, not just for us, but also for all the cryptocurrencies.
A lots of people are afraid to start with crypto.
Everyone says that you can be hacked so they are afraid to do the first step in the crypto world.
We must support Bitshares to counteract this kind of thinking !!!
