I don't know much about cryptocurrencies, but with bitcoin the general trend is upward with a lot of fluctuation. So the value of it could drop and come back up in 2018 and 2019, with a net increase in value by 2020. But I agree with you that 2020 is kind of an arbitrary year to put, might as well be any other year.
