Bitcoin Versus Government Money
I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that Bitcoin and the crypto-world be what it is today; a global phenomenon with the keys to unlock the economic chains that bind most people of the World.
When I first encountered Bitcoin I envisioned it as a means to financial freedom, where the playing field would be level for all. ASIC's came along and distorted that view, hijacking the Bitcoin (Satoshi?) vision and yet at the same time validating the idea of transparency through blockchain. This then led to the rise of the Alt-coins.
Where Bitcoin veered and now appears to be truly becoming Gold 2.0, other crypto-currencies like Ethereum, Steem and others have arisen to continue where Bitcoin left off. Although many can still participate in the Bitcoin movement, the actual participation in the Bitcoin Blockchain now belongs to the Big Money Mega Miners. Yes, one can argue that you can still Cloud mine Bitcoin, but most likely there is no one now mining Bitcoin in their basement. STEEM on the other hand, can be "mined" on any computer, phone or tablet from anywhere in the world in any operating system using Proof of Brain and the Steem Blockchain.
Now, the crypto-revolution continues and is now followed up with an animation series for Bitcoin. I just finished watching Episode 2 on the Bitcoin and Friends Youtube channel. If you haven't watched Episode 1, I highly recommend you watch that one first then watch Part 2. The creators of this Bitcoin animation series have done an excellent job with the storyline for this animation. They incorporate real life events and characters that pertain to the crypto-world but with a comic twist while also remaining true to the ideals of this cryptographic revolution that was launched by Satoshi Nakamoto's release of Bitcoin into the World. It is Adult themed in some parts so I wouldn't watch it with little children or anyone sensitive to certain adult topics.
I am glad that there are some who still remember why Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies where launched into the World, and no the answer isn't "to Buy Lambos!"
Who is the real world "Jamus Sapphire?" First reply gets 100% upvote on their comment/answer.
