Blockchain of Things
Although I was not actually there, I did watch quite a bit of the live streaming from the Consensus talks. There were some very interesting points of discussion along with the introduction of some new and innovative products coming to the blockchain space.
I won't bore you too much with all the details but will mention two interesting projects. The first one is a new comer called Clovyr, which is developing a DAPP (decentralized application) for running various different blockchain projects under one user interface. The second interesting project is RSK, which claims to be an open-source Bitcoin smart contract. The project's goal is to enable smart contract, near instant payments and higher scalability for the Bitcoin network. There were many other interesting talks and speakers , but these two seemed the most interesting to me.
Now for the tidbits of information that I learned from watching the live stream. I watched the talks by Meltem Demirors of Athena Capital and Travis Scher of Digital Currency Group. Since these two were talking crypto-investments and portfolios, I was paying attention. So I happened to catch a screen shot of the portfolios that each one presented.
The first picture is that of the companies invested in by DCG. The second picture is of Meltem Demirors' personal portfolio. So if anyone was wondering where to place some crypto-bets, you might want to start looking at some of these. Not advice, just random opinions and thoughts of a crypto-madman who happens to be putting someone else's smarts to work!
