Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my first post here on steemit.
The main focus of my steemit, at-least-once-weekly posts will be on blockchain technology. I will try to provide possible strategies - hopefully some good ones - to harness blockchain and all that it may become in the years to come.
At least one writer for the Harvard Business Review considers blockchain as a core "foundational technology" - as important as the development of TCP/IP, he writes. Blockchain clearly holds tremendous potential, but how and when this potential materializes is as yet unclear.
Blockchain is a rapidly developing (but nascent) industry that seeks to harmonize leading-edge technologies from a wide subsection of scientific fields - something that will take a considerable amount of time, money and effort by some very smart and dedicated people around the world to implement for real-world, practical use.
The current price of crypto-currencies are based more on hope than reality - for without adoption by a large number of people somewhere in this world, which has yet to happen, there is no real-world "intrinsic" value to base anything on, other than hope.
Instead of focusing on the price of crypto-currencies and technical analysis charts and pictures (something I look at but feel is on par to seeking the advice of a strip-mall fortune teller), I hope instead to focus here on basic economics and the core technologies underlying blockchain. There will be an emphasis on the security of blockchains as well, for without security and a high-assurance of permanence, crypto-currencies have essentially zero value.
The aim here is to hopefully provide some alternative ideas that may help in building value for the long-term.
T
