Is Bitcoin and all the Alt Coins going to crash soon?
Jordan Belfort does.
According to his most recent facebook post, he believes that the downturn isn't over and it's going to continue to dip deeper and deeper. Bitcoin is on the fall he says. He believes with the conflicts in India and in South Korea for regulations in Crypto Currencies is just the starting point to a failing series of events to impact the success of bitcoin and its alt coin buddies. He also states with the rise of fraudulent schemes in bitcoin and the inability for buyers to sell effectively when mass panic ensues and they want to sell and can't that others are profiting big time.
I agree that the hardest part in the crypto market is when holders in alt coins and bitcoin want to sell back to USD and can't they lose hundreds, thousands, tens-of-thousands. The coins or currency IS only as valuable as much AS you can CONVERT it back to USD.
I've had extreme difficulty on this as well trying to convert ETH to USD or XRP to ETH to USD. You end up losing so much money not in the transaction fee's but the time between the sale of the coin from coin to coin to US dollar.
Jordan also states that the masses of banks will hold together as well to allow bitcoin and their alt-coins to NEVER be usable in the real world as that is a scare tactic I feel and adoption could be in the balance. Remember Laser Discs vs CD's... Does any millennial even know what one is LOL. (not even Simba knows). Scary to think that the FED and others can squash an idea or a currency if it doesn't favor them. What are your takes on this post?
I think there is EXTREME value to reading his point of view and the comments therein. If you'd like to check out his point of view and read the full article click on his facebook listing today The link to his page is here Link to his page
Seems i can't link to his facebook post but he states
"The real crash is right on the horizon, and will be characterized by a one day decline of at least 40%, with the various crypto-exchanges locking up, which means providing zero liquidity on the way down. And while I'm not sure what day that will happen, it will be triggered by a combination of (1) increased (and coordinated) regulatory intervention, along the lines of what's happening now in India, South Korea etc. (2) the realization that tether was a massive fraud used to support bitcoin when selling pressure came in (3) a coordinated effort by the world's money center banks to make it virtually impossible to use bitcoin and its babies in the real world (4) the discovery that many of these so-called "hacks" were actually cover-ups for other crimes, like nonexistent coins and insider-theft (5) indictments being issued against the players who have been orchestrating the various market manipulations and (6) the previous 5 things leading to the end of what we used to call, back in the day: “the illusion of prosperity," which is what’s actually behind this giant bubble."
This is a direct paragraph of how he believes in detail the bubble is going to happen.
