# Question: Would Crypto Coins Ever Split?
Stocks can be split 2 for 1, 3 for 1, and even reverse split 1 for 2. This is often done (splits) to keep the price of a share low enough for smaller buyers.
I know that we can buy crypto coins in fractions, but, I would like to know whether coins like Bitcoin might ever go through a split, aside for these forks that have been cropping up.
