Yes It can be, I think but It take a bit long time while there are many regulation and ban on cryptocurrency. People who are investing in buy and sell crypto asset begin to worry about the fund. While there are ban in China and Regulation in many countries, and Hack, many people sell their cryptocurrency immediately that make bitcoin price and other altcoin drop dramatically and people who are going to buy cryptocurrency begin to scare in buying bitcoin.
Will 90% of altcoin fail?
No, it will not fail. People who are already invested in cryptocurrency, they make a lot of profit and looking for new opportunities to invest in many other cryptocurrency project. They don't keep their bitcoin, they used their bitcoin to invest in other ICOs project. Even though, there are many scam developer, Ponzi scheme, and Fraud, these are not the sign that show Altcoin will fail. The main problem is that most people, have less knowledge about investing in cryptocurrency. If we educate them or there are a good service to give them advice on how to invest in the right way. All many altcoin project will grow faster.
According to coinmarketcap, bitcoin has only 36% dominance in crypto market. This mean that people invested a lot of their money on many other altcoin.
