Former BitConnect investors have filed a class action lawsuit Wednesday, Jan. 24, seeking compensation from the company that was found out to be a Ponzi scheme and has shut down on Jan. 17.Read more: https://cointelegraph.com/news/investors-file-class-action-lawsuit-against-bitconnect-following-its-shutdownThe class action complaint states that BitConnect issued cryptocurrency tokens that were actually unregistered securities and collected additional funds via a "wide-ranging Ponzi scheme."
The complaint has been filed by six individuals on their own behalf, as well as that of all other persons who have lost their money by investing into BitConnect. The six plaintiffs stated that their personal losses amounted to $771,000.
Critics continue to rejoice with bouts of "I told you so". So does anyone else think the list of victims they've published is a suckers list? That class action lawsuit may become some shadey spammer's future marketing list.
