Digital Asset Exchange
BitShares is a decentralized asset exchange. With one account wallet funded with your BTS, you have full access to a native trading app and many other gateways to dApps or other exchanges and currencies. Listed on the DEX are many assets, some of them native (Smart Coins pegged to dollar values) and also including withdraw/deposit gateways to other exchanges or crypto wallets.
Price-Stable Cryptocurrencies
A SmartCoin is a cryptocurrency with its value pegged to a real-world asset such as USD or Gold. Blazing Fast
BitShares is fairly well proven and known as a very busy blockchain in real use today. On any given day, currently signing over 1 million transactions over a $100 million+ volume, without touching the sides of it's capacity. regardless of figures quoted '3300 per second' or '100 thousand with the network infrastructure to go with it'. BitShares is VERY much faster than any known blockchain apart from Steemit, which is almost the same tech.

User-Issued Assets. Entrepreneurs issue their own cryptocurrency smart tokens, which could be for any wide variety of purposes. Event tickets, company shares, crowd-funding, loyalty/credits are just a few very simple examples. Technically superior to ETH ERC-20 tokens, just BitShares is way less known about.

No Mining (DPoS)

Witnesses (aka by definition 'delegates' having 'proof of stake' instead of 'proof of work')/ It's an incredibly effiecient system, fast, and light on computing resources.
