A recent post by Hive account@luzcypher has enlightened me about the importance of not leaving funds on an exchange.

That said, what are the benefits of using your wallet-design as opposed to having a cold wallet...beyond the obvious...one's on the blockchain and the other's at risk for tangible destruction.
