I think almost every person into crypto and a bit of chosing alternative paths is familiar with the 'Black Mirror' series. If you are not? Shame on you, and make this happen ASAP!
Now Black Mirror came with its first 'real'movie, which is actually not that different from the loose epiodes. A lot of the Black Mirror episodes are already having a duration of longer than an hour, and every time tell a totally different story, so what is then different about this movie?
The cool thing about Bandersnatch: It is an interactive movie. As inYOU decide what paths the main character takes. To me that is a real cool concept, one that Black Mirror always has a little nose for doing something new. But that also means you can not watch it on everything. Apple TV and chromecast are no-gos on watching this one one. You need a HDMI cable or just watch it on your laptop or playstation.
So choices what do you mean?
I mean that you decide on the fate of main character Stefan, as in what music he listens to, what kind of breakfast that he eats, and later in the story if he buries a body of cuts it into pieces. The movie has 5 possible outcomes which means that the 1.30 hour duration can be a lot longer is you check out all possible endings.
Also Charlie Brook wouldn't be Charlie Brook if in the whole movie it wouldnt have all kinds of possible referrals to other Black Mirror episodes. I saw Nosedive popping by (the episode about the girl who looses her life ranking and gets nothing done anymore, which currently also is real life happening in China in some kind of way) USS callistor as a poster on the wall of Stefans bedroom (the spaceship episode, which always pops by in all kinds of discord jokes) and Metalhead (the episode about the AI metal dogs taking over the world....arghhhh reality!!!!)
In other words, don't expect any magic from this extended episode, but on the other hand it is a must see in terms of revolutionary ideas.
