Portrait of a Selfie by
You’ve been #blinddrawn
Who would have known that she would have gotten her hair colored red, and then does it differently. I love her hair color, I took a different approach.
The Portrait
My goal in this was to achieve two things with this portrait. First, play with how I could make her hair look like it's still her but make the color a little different. Second, take the over-exposed quality that selfies often have and run with it by disconnecting body, clothing, and hair parts.
I wanted to also exaggerate her features, make her nose pulled further from her eyes, make her already defined cheeks more defined, make her eyes even bigger and lips even larger. It gives this cartoonish/high-fashion polish that I think is really neat. But do you, ?

Who am I?
I am an artist who finds portrait photographs of people on social media, paints them, and posts it. I love the reactions and surprises that it gives people. I think there's a sense of self-esteem boost when someone is painted (even when there are mistakes or it doesn't look identical to them). The goal of my art is to surprise and spread love.
