Blindspot is the name of an NBC series consisting of five seasons. The final season aired on NBC in 2020 (if I remember correctly), and they actually almost ended the story after only four seasons (due to low viewer ratings). But, due to people like me and others who need closure and want to see a story come to an end, they decided to run the fifth and final season as well.
Have you ever seen the TV series 24? When you watched the first season, it just felt as if you jumped into a car, and then it accelerated, and you just didn't manage to breathe (until the end of the first season)? I have got to say, 24 might be my favorite TV series of all time... I just loved it, especially the first season.
Blindspot never had entirely the same effect on me as 24, but still, the first season managed to bring a surprising element, making it a little bit different from most other similar series. That is also why I got started with the series and why I watched the first two seasons and enjoyed it a lot.
But, just like I did with The Blacklist, I kind of got bored and I had so much other stuff to do (like watching cryptocurrency charts), so I fell off the train and it took me some years to get back on the train. With The Blacklist, I missed out on three seasons, and with Blindspot, I missed out on two seasons.
But, don't we often say that the start and the end of the trip are the most important? Or do we? It sounds kind of stupid? No matter what! I was bored with Blindspot for a while, but then I decided to get back on the train for the final season, the fifth season. There were some references in the final season that I didn't understand since I hadn't watched seasons 3 and 4, but I was mostly able to follow it all, and it was actually quite amusing.
Is Blindspot worth watching?
The reason why I am asking is that I just noticed that you can stream all seasons of Blindspot on Netflix right now. But, is it worth starting?
If you like action TV series, then this might be it. It isn't as fast-paced as 24, but if you have seen Sullivan Stapleton in series like Strike Back and liked it, then you might like this. If you are a fan of Jaimie Alexander, then you might like it. In other words, watch a couple of episodes of season 1, and based on that, make your decision. But, be aware of the fact that it gets quite boring after some seasons!
All in all, I would give Blindspot a 5/10 rating. It is good, at times, but it also gets kind of boring.
