As was previously announced, the upcoming 0.17 update to the Litecoin’s (LTC) core will reduce the current fees by 90%, to a $0.005 cost per transaction, making Charlie Lee’s code fork of Bitcoin faster and cheaper than competing fork Bitcoin Cash (BCH). This was previously one of the selling points of BCH over LTC, which has up to this point had lower average fees than LTC transactions. This adds to the challenges facing the BCH community that is seen as ‘contentious’ to many in the crypto sphere, as the BCH network 30-day average hashrate has also decreased in recent months.
