My dear friend Kenny,
You and your son are family. Your friendship has been a blessing to our family. You were a great example of what's it means to be a reliable friend. No matter the weather or time. If we needed you, you would be there at the drop of a dime. You were a better friend in me. You and your son are an upgrade to our family. My door is still open to you if you want a cup of coffee, for after all you are family.
I am sorry that I was not a better friend to you. I had time to tell you, looking back I could have taken an hour to have thanked you face-to-face. You were a good man and and an even greater blessing. You are a wonderful example of what it means to be a good neighbor and a better friend. I'm sure that I will remember you as I am standing on my lawn raking my leaves, or in the middle of a snowstorm shoveling my driveway. I will look over at your house and see you sitting on your porch., and I am sure that I will hear your voice comment on the weather. You might even ask if I need a hand.
With tears in my eyes I repeat.. I wish I would have been a better friend. You could always be counted on if I was not home to help out my family. You and Kenny Jr are family, and you know that even though you cannot be there. My family and I will always be there for your's. You know that your son is part of our family, and we will always be there for him.
Your passing has had an amazing effect on your family also. I know you must be touched by how united they have become. You can rest assure that your son is in good hands. You and your family have been in our prayers, and it is a blessing to see how God is touching your family. Thanks again for everything. Thank you for the lessons you've taught. I will carry your lessons on friendship forever, and I pray I can be as good of an example to your son as you have been to me.
