Not long ago, I wrote... My godchicken, Peter Parker, and his mom, @lyndsaybowes.
His death
This week, after hearing from , I texted my husband...
She informed me that my dear godchicken, Peter Parker, succumbed to his injuries and passed away this week. I think his beauty was a threat that fanned the flames of murderous envy of his father, Mr. Pendock. My guess is Mr. Pendock couldn't stand the fact that and hens considered Peter Parker, "Our Champion (of cuteness) Rooster".
Sweet Eddie Bowes even made Peter Parker his own hospital room so he could be heal in peace.
After Peter Parker's passing, Eddie made a tombstone and arranged a burial in the flower forest.
His life
Peter Parker had a will to live. In this post, you can read about how he almost died once as chick yet recovered enough to attempt his first crow.
Yes, Peter Parker's life was cut short. For being a rooster, yet he made quite an impact, at least for me, the Bowes' family and this blockchain. Anyone who follows know how much Peter Parker and the other chickens, along with Eddie and her other human kids are recurring characters that juxtaposed Lyndsay's wonderfully scenic and tranquil "Walk with Me" Series with a beehive of activity.
I was also touched to see that another Steemian created a beautiful painting of my dear godchicken... My painting as a surprise for @lyndsaybowes her rooster: Peter Parker

Finally, with all the activity going on in my life, I have much to post about yet it's been more than two weeks since I have had time to post. Peter Parker's death was a reminder that today is a gift so I thought, what a great reason to post again with the intent to let you, my dear Steem family, know that you matter to me. I really appreciate the friends I have made and have yet to make on Steem.
