The vision that most industry experts are having with the Internet of Value is that it will move like what is information is doing nowadays. The way we exchange words now are almost instant, friction less and FREE.
The objective is to move values like foreign exchange payments, stocks, votes, frequent flyer points, securities, intellectual property, music, scientific discoveries, and more, much like just by pressing SEND button and people get the transactions they want.
Blockchain has made all these possible. The transfer can now be validated, it becomes a permanent record, and can be completed instantly. At last value will be able to move around the world as information does.
Although there are some works to be done, as of the moment there are still thousands of competing blockchains and the industry just need to unify these blockchains much like what the protocol "http" used in web address that became the global standard for online information exchange.
We are not there yet but we are very near to our target.
