Earlier today, we had a one-on-one interview with Fan-Controlled Football League's VP of Football Operations Ray Austin. In the interview, he discussed how he became co-founder of FCFL along with former NFL executives, the founder of Vonage, and the co-founder of Ethereum among others.
The new league uses ERC20 tokens and the Ethereum blockchain to give fans decision-making control of the the teams in the league including where a team is located, a team's name, a team's coach, a team's player, and plays on the field.
The idea is to bring the controls and interactivity of a video-game like platform to live-action sports play. Austin shared plans of the league's expansion to other sports as well as his role in recruiting athletes for the football teams in the new league. At present, interested parties can purchase FCFL's utility token for decision-making participation in FCFL.
Austin was drafted by the New York Jets and played for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers among other teams. He is also a SAG actor and has appeared in numerous commercials as well as on various television programs including Empire. He is based in Chicago, Illinois. His new corporate role is years in the making as he explains how he was serendipitously introduced to the other executives who had implemented interactive sports in other regions of the US which he too had done in Illinois.
