But how will she retrieve her password if Chrome didn't save it?

She may not even have Chrome, and she uses her phone more than a computer. Yes, I know, I know, there a gazillion ways to save a password, hidden in plain sight. She is far from the only one who fails to do this. Several writer friends I've invited to Steemit have LOST passwords.

I'm beginning to think CONSPIRACY - some hacker in Deep Steemit is collecting from wallets of those who can't find their passwords, never mind that they could SWEAR they know exactly where they copy-pasted it.

So... how to get that six SBD back?

Summoning the brilliant techno-wizardess, Hive account@aschatria.... I'm not even sure which hashtags to use! And I closed Discord because it slows my laptop down so much, and because even though I swear I've muted every channel, I continue to hear the nonstop ding, ding, ding, of incoming messages. And I cannot even remember all the crypto channels I was in.
