Trolling on social media is business as usual these days. Even the official accounts of major corporations are used to burn competitors. The main thing is that the trolling has to stay funny, appropriate, and within reasonable bounds. To be honest, what I saw on the official Twitter accounts of the Kraken cryptoexchange and its founder and CEO Jesse Powell did not make me laugh. Just the opposite. Trolling the New York state attorney general’s office, which pointed out market manipulation to the cryptoexchange, and comparing it to “that abusive, controlling ex you broke up with 3 years ago but they keep stalking you, throwing shade on your new relationships” – guys, are you serious?! At a time when all crypto industry leaders need to unite and establish a constructive dialogue with the powers that be at all levels, some are beginning to behave shortsightedly, to put it mildly. And then we are surprised when people often associate the cryptosphere with a refuge for freaks and cybercriminals, without a thought to how many true business and IT professionals work in it.
