INTRODUCTION
Among all the numerous planets that exist in the universe the only one that is suitable for habitation by humans is Planet Earth. Scientists over the years have tried all their best to find us another planet that could support life fully but it is rather unfortunate that with all the researches that have been done both individual and organizations have come out futile. Don’t get me wrong not that it was not worth the research but rather the results that they were anticipating for was not found. You might be wondering why search for a new home when we are living on a comfortable one at the moment?

Well that was the same thought that came in mind when I heard of the expensive trips and research that is being geared towards the search for a new home Pardon me but let me just give it to you blatantly, there is a Sword of Damocles hanging upon our home fellas. Yeah, you heard me right there is an imminent danger that is hanging upon our beautiful planet and our knowledgeable scientists have noticed this way back due to their experience in the scientific field. Many are the strategies that scientists and other scientific institutions are putting in place curb the effects of mankind which is deteriorating the safety features of our planet but in this piece, we will discuss the solution that the Zero Carbon project has to offer the world in terms of the high release of Carbon in our atmosphere.

HUMAN ACTIVITIES THAT INCREASES GLOBAL WARMING

The Earth is the third planet away from the Sun at approximately 149.6 milion km and this distance allows it to receive some amount of Sun Rays enough to support life. The rays of the sun are very intensive and emitting off harmful rays like infrared and ultra violet rays that are very harmful to us upon exposure for longer periods.
The Creator of the universe was very kind enough to protect our planet with a layer of insulator in the lay man terms but the Ozone layer to be a little scientific. This Ozone layer serves as a safety layer of shield which prevents all these harmful rays from reaching planet earth so that it inhabitants can live in harmony and safety.

Certain activities such as mass bush burning, huge smokes from the exhaust of cars, test of weapons etc. and other activities that releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere increases the green-house effect which further contribute finally to global warming. Just to break it down for some non-science related viewers of mine what I simply mean is that the above activities increases in the global temperature of the earth making it quite warmer than it normally is.
In addition, technology has advanced in several dimensions and has led to the production of sophisticated machineries which we use in our in our industries. The activities of these industries also contribute to the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere further compounding to the problem stated above.

These activities have resulted in the wearing of the protective layer of the earth which is the Ozone layer making some portion of the harmful rays reach the earth. The combined effect of these problems poses serious threats to our planet in the following ways:

THE RISK OF ARCTIC PERMAFROST BEING MELTED

Current developments and news fron the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) suggests that June 2018 is the third warmest June in 138 years source. This shows how intense the Earth’s global warming is becoming intense. This gradual increase poses a great danger to the Arctic Permafrost since it could cause it to melt.
This Arctic Permafrost as the name implies is a ground of ice that is supposed to stay frozen permanently but due to the harsh effects of our activities on the land which is increasing the global warming effect this frozen piece of ground is susceptible to melting if strategic measures are not put in place.

This frozen piece of ground contains huge amounts of Carbon that exceeds the amount of carbon that is even within the earth atmosphere. Nobody really wishes for such a huge amount of carbon to be released into our system but if it does then we can all be certain of drastic climate changes that could change the world forever. Let’s not forget that humans are able to thrive within certain climate conditions and so what if these carbons are released into the atmosphere and causing a huge climate change with time which is unfavourable to our existence. Would that mean the end of humanity? This is a call to us all to wake up and put measure in place to curb this situation.

Humanity is forever grateful to our scientists and researchers who have helped in several ways in identifying renewable sources of energy which are all geared towards the reduction in the production of carbon into our system.
In as much as there are available forms of renewable sources of energy such as solar panels, wind turbines etc. but the question is how many folks of us are using these resources. The available form of renewable sources of energy are very expensive for the average monthly earning worker to afford.
Our scientists have helped find us a way to curb the situation but due to financial difficulties we are unable to adapt to the methods and are still using the old ways that is deteriorating our planet.
