Every day I become increasingly fascinated by the endless possibilities blockchain technologies will bring humanity. I am fairly new to the crypto/blockchain space and have only been doing my research for a little over 2 months now. However, I want to share my thoughts with everyone and hear what you guys think so hopefully we can exchange valuable content with each other.
Personally, my favourite blockchain that I think will become a leading technology soon is EOS. I mentioned in my first ever blog post how much of a fan I am of Dan Larimer. He's already built two fully functioning blockchains in the form of Bitshares and Steemit. Both serve totally different purposes, yet similarly they are both currently sitting in the top 100 on coinmarketcap and interestingly BOTH are the top 2 most used cryptocurrencies in terms of network activity. So we have a leader who knows how to build and maintain a fully functioning blockchain.
EOS has been releasing tokens now for the past 6 months and will continue to do so until June 1st 2018. One of the reasons block.one has done this is to regulate the tokens so that huge investors cannot buy large portions all at once, creating fairness. From a business perspective, it also allows them to create more revenue that they will use in the future. Block.one have already raised over $1 billion from token sales that they want to give to developers who switch over to the EOS platform, which will entice them to try the software for free.
We have also discovered how both Bitcoin and Ethereum have experienced problems in the past regarding scalability. Bitcoin transactions have increased substantially over the past 12 months, however, there are not enough miners to process these transactions, while the popular game Cryptokitties has caused the Etherum network to crash after a large number of transactions needed to be processed. EOS can possibly handle over 1 million transaction p/s thanks to it's 21 masternodes on its delegated proof of stake network.
Finally, a recent announcement from South Korea explained how further tokens will be airdropped to EOS token holders allowing to claim more tokens as extra incentives.
Guys there are so many more things I could mention like the language developers will be using, how the tokens can be used to rent out to developors in the future but I wanna hear from you guys. I think the marketcap will hit $750 billion in 2019 or 2020, provided everything is functioning optimally which will put the price of 1 token over $1100. Comment below if you agree with me or hey maybe i got it all wrong and you think i'm a noob.
Whatever happens good luck guys and may we all be driving around in Lambos one day
