Blockchain technology has many ways in which it can revolutionise SCM. Looking at food safety and transparency, Walmart, IBM, and other key partners are working to develop and release a blockchain platform to unite all stakeholders in a food supply chain. The main focus of this project is to increase food safety and ensure consumer health.
I think that blockchain will play an important role in the future of supply chain management and foresee that this technology can stakeholders together to be able to fully analyse the movement of goods from origin to the consumer.
