I started in blockchains in 2016 and I immediately saw the depth of the opportunity. My research has revealed how I can contribute to solving problems connected to the developing world. I am asking for any support people might think is appropriate.
The precise problem I wish to solve is improving e-commerce in the developing world. Although e-commerce is a widely used term, most people associate e-commerce with shopping carts and websites. Actually, e-commerce refers to any electronic commerce, including bank transfers. In the UK today, payments alone account for a billion pounds a day.
Taking Africa as an example, statistics tell us that about a billion people are coming online within 3-5 years. These people do not have bank accounts usually (about 20% have bank accounts), and many cannot read. What they can do however is use mobile phones and perform transactions using cryptopayments.
There need to be UIs which are good enough so everyone can understand them. But that can be implemented.
My proposal is for a new token which can be used on a blockchain based e-commerce platform. My design is described at zillerium.com.
