What is a Real Estate Investment Trust and how does it currently operate
Most of us have heard of how investing in real estate is an excellent way to earn money; some of us have even tried to do so, but have hit several obstacles along the way. To allow all individuals to invest in real estate (even in foreign countries), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) were created - these platform offers investors the opportunity to own, finance and produce income through real estate. Most of the times, REITs obtain income through renting; the vast majority of this money is shared between shareholders, as dividends.

Discover Global Reit - a modern real estate investment trust that is currently promoted as being the first blockchain REIT, soon to be launched worldwide.
Global Reit operates on the same mechanism as traditional REITs - being a public shareholding structure that rewards its units holders with dividends (in accordance to the income that is generated by the assets it owns and is under management). However, Global REIT aims to change this actual paradigm and, on the contrary, plans to welcome individuals and companies to participate in both the fund manager ground returns (also called GREM) as well as the income on the assets under management (abbreviated to GRET).
Each subscriber will obtain these two tokens upon subscription - GREM and GRET. The second one is designed to provide dividends monthly to all of its subscribers. GRET has its first asset secured at 8 percent per annum on its first acquired asset as a dividend. The first AUM is valued at 75 million US dollars, located at the Palm Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Both GRET and GREM tokens are considered utility tokens and will guarantee future access to all its assets under management, where token holders will receive discounts and other benefits. Global REIT is open to REITs worldwide and adds extra insurance to potential investors by offering access to an already established blockchain framework; thus, it guarantees access to the crypto industry by contributing their assets.
How does Global REIT actually work?
Global REIT is using the features of smart contracts (on the Ethereum blockchain) to develop custom asset tokens (as we previously mentioned). Through Ether and Bitcoin, investors gain access to the Global REIT technology platform - in return, they acquire GRET, GREM and are rewarded with USDT monthly dividends. Using the same tokens, crypto investors can get into contact to asset owners (in the real estate industry); they can acquire such assets and through the Global REIT fund manager and the GRET ERC20 smart contracts can obtain income.
The platform is attractive to REITs, real estate asset holders and crypto investors.
