BlockTrades (https://blocktrades.us) now supports trading pairs for buying and selling EOS with many of the coins we support, including pairs for trading EOS with SBD and Steem.
EOS is a smart contract platform and is widely viewed as the main competitor to the Ethereum smart contract platform. At the time of this post, it is ranked at #4 on coinmarketcap’s list of cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

When it comes to adding support for new coins to BlockTrades, EOS has been one of the most requested by our customer base, probably in part due to the fact that EOS development was led by Dan Larimer, who was also the main developer for Steem and BitShares, so there’s a lot of overlap in the community of users between BitShares, Steem, and EOS.
EOS trading on our site is only supported for non-US citizens
EOS tokens were distributed through an initial coin offering (ICO) and US citizens were not eligible to participate in the ICO. For this reason, we are maintaining the same restriction on trading of EOS via our site until there is more regulatory clarity on the status of the EOS token.
In other words, to buy and sell EOS on our site, you must create an account on BlockTrades (if you don’t already have one) and you have to show evidence that you are not a US citizen. For full details on the steps to get authorized to trade EOS, please see our earlier post for the OMG token:
