The reason we are enjoying Steem is because Dan came up with the idea in the first place. His writings and actions are noble.

He wrote about his reasoning behind the n^2 curve in a post I mentioned just a couple comments above.

Dan treat people with respect.

There are many reason to communicate on Steem even if people don't receive Steem for what they have created. Just like we're not asking money for everything we do for others.

The whales are still abusing the system by selling votes and self-voting.

That's part of what the n^2 curve is trying to minimize.
