My entry to 's
scholarship competition. NB the grammar might be a bit off because I had to clip it in order to be just over (rather than a lot over) the 20 line limit!
Model post from between 15-23rd Nov (it was so hard to choose!)
I've opted for On Steem and Globalisation' - it's most indicative of the type of sociological-analysis-of-steem-posts I'll focus on in 2019, and it got a good UA ranking (#15). If it weren't post-deadline, I would have picked my 'Facebook, Steem and Privacy post (UA #20), it's a bit heavier, and it shows the steem onboarding footer I designed for the end of every post via
A 'role model' steemian?
There are more people with a more engaged record than me, but I do my bit. I'm typically around the top 30 in 's curation leagues, which suggests I comment more than most, and I do the rounds commenting on
's Dtube snap/ family initiative, but I'm only moved to vlog about once a week.
I've also recently joined in with the posse, performing a crucial role combatting abuse. Probably my 'lightest' form of engagement is with
, which I post to via my alt account
.
I delegate about 1000SP fairly widely - to @PIFC, ,
and
, and have been involved with/ used all of these over the last year, as well as using a whole host of other dapps.
I'm also part of a very new initiative looking to help steem take of in the UK - , something I'm looking forward to being part of in 2019.
My plans for steem 2018-19 are outlined in this post: 'SteemFest convinced my to put the rest of my life into maintenance mode' (UA #08) and I've also taken to wearing this T shirt out in public:
Which is kind of handy because I needed a picture for the post.
Postscript (post 20 line) special mention:
I don't know whether is going to post an entry to this, but even if they don't they should be considered, they more than tick all the boxes for this competition.
P.S. I accidentally posted this first via my account, since modified, so sorry if you voted on that!
