You Already Know Exercise is Important
It's funny, we all know that a good diet and exercise are the keys to living a healthy life.
But for some reason, actually executing on that concept is so hard.
Now, I've never really struggled with getting regular exercise. For me, it's always been about not eating a bunch of crap after getting a killer workout in.
Even today, I find myself falling flat on my face in terms of healthy eating. I'll be doing amazing for months, and then BAM.
After-dinner Sonic runs become a daily thing.
Healthy Living is a Constant Battle Towards a Better Life
One reason I love exercising and (for the most part) maintaining a healthy diet is because it makes me more present at work, in my personal life, and as an all-around human.
When my body doesn't feel strong, my mind begins to feel less sharp as well. My overall disciple declines dramatically, and I become all around less motivated.
That is probably an extreme reaction unique to me, but I do know that other people have spoken of exercise relating to a clear mind as well. After all, isn't there an age old saying that, "a healthy body equals a healthy mind?"
Taking Health & Fitness Seriously
Since I got my membership to 24 hour fitness, I've been taking health and fitness much more seriously. Since then, I've noticed that I am much happier overall. One thing I have noticed though is that after a strenuous workout, I struggle to wake up the next morning.
Waking up early has never been a strength of mine, but it's even more difficult to drag myself out of bed when I do a difficult workout the day before.
Not sure if this has something to do with my recovery period, or if I'm just simply over working myself.
