Australia have been forced to scrap a day-night Test and will hold the game in normal hours instead after India refused to play, cricket officials said on Tuesday.
Cricket Australia had penciled in the Dec 6-10 Test in Adelaide as a pink-ball coordinate yet India recoiled from playing under floodlights.
"We can affirm that we have gotten guidance from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that it isn't set up to take an interest in a proposed day-night Test in Adelaide this mid year," CA boss James Sutherland said in an announcement. "Accordingly, we would now be able to affirm this Test match will be a day organize."
CA trusts day-night Test cricket is a more TV cordial organization and maybe the best way to spare the five-day variant of the amusement following the ascent of the quickfire Twenty20 configuration.
