So as many of you might or might not know, I have been working on developing a board game with a group of friends. I went from teaching English in China to working on this project full time in Japan. Working on a team has it's own obstacles. Sometimes it can be hard for everyone to find consensus on ideas or on which direction we should go in. When you are working on a project like this it can get to points where you think a certain aspect is finished and you get this great feeling of relief. Then things can change and you have to redo or rethink your plans.
In our case we have had to make some major changes to how the game is played. It was a bit hard to deal with at first but the outcome of those changes was successful. We have been rigorously play testing our ideas between ourselves and others at board game meetups here in Tokyo. The opinions of others have been more helpful then I could imagine. It can be difficult to accurately analyze your own project. To you and your team it makes sense because... well we came up with the ideas. That doesn't always mean it will always be easily digestible for others.
We have now come to a point where we are having to do a rebranding. One of our Facebook followers has recently informed us that there is someone who has already copyrighted the name Frenemies and has a very similar logo to ours with the F and the R combined. So we are in the process of thinking about new names for our project. We are also reworking the logo and already know what we will be doing with it. Also we felt it was necessary to redesign a bit which is a bummer because... well... look at the thing haha. The founder Josh has been working really hard this past year designing the box, components, and logo. But these are the necessary steps that we need to take to be successful in this venture and I am confident that what we have in the works will blow people away. Between the new designs we are working on and how much progress we have made with the game play there is no stopping us now.
The game itself is based off of real world themes. When you are playing imagine that you are a member of the Illuminati and are pulling the necessary strings to keep control of the world. For most people involved in cryptocurrency I think a lot of the themes and game play will be understood quite easily. So with that brief explanation if you have any ideas or suggestions for names feel free to throw them out there into the comments section below. Any questions are welcome too. We do have a steemit page for the game as well if you want find out more.
Also as crypto enthusiasts we run on crypto and on our website there is an option to buy the game with Bitcoin when it is released. So check that out when we are ready to launch by just clicking on the Bitcoin symbol and entering your e-mail address. Any help towards keeping us going is appreciated as well so if you want to donate to the project you can through any of these cryptos:
