Half Bath Makeover
Hello steemit community, today I wanted to share with you my bathroom makeover.
Here is the half-bath originally before I updated it. As you can see in the picture below, it needed some sprucing up . The bathroom was not my style, and I wanted to change the look of it. I wanted to give it a more inviting look.
The first thing I did was paint the room, giving it a fresh new look. I used a linen color for the room. Next, I took off the doors of the cabinet, and started sanding down the cabinet and the doors. After I was done sanding down everything, I taped off where I was going to paint. Then I had to choose a color for the cabinet. I could not decide whether to paint it a gray color or white. In the picture below, I painted the top part of the cabinet gray. I did not like how the gray looked, so I chose to go with a bright white.
When the cabinet was painted, I put the new knobs and hinges on the cabinet. I did debate about whether to put a new countertop on the cabinet, but I chose to keep it because I kind of liked it. The tile and the sink was in good shape. I am also on a budget, so for now I am going to keep it as it is. In the future, I think I would like to do a butcher block wood countertop with a drop down sink for the countertop.
I purchased the mirror at TJmaxx for 24.99. I bought a new towel holder for the bathroom. Then I put up floating shelves above the toilet. I did a DIY post on how to make the floating shelves, if you are interested in making some.
The half-bath has a whole new look. Now the bathroom looks much brighter, and has a warm and inviting touch to it. This is my journey of renovating a foreclosure we purchased about a year ago. I hope you enjoyed my post. Thank you for reading my posts. If you like my posts and would like to follow me , you can follow me .
