10.Lawndale Theatre (Hate to See it Go)

The Lawndale Theatre opened October 19, 1927 with Carmel Myers in “The Girl From Rio” plus acts on the stage. It was located in the North Lawndale community on W. Roosevelt Road at S. Pulaski Road. It was a rather large neighborhood movie house, seating 2,000, which later featured burlesque, and after that, movies once more, before it was closed in 1963. It was known as the Rena Theatre in its later years. Most recently, the former theatre had housed a church.It was demolished in July 2014.
9. Hotel Del Salto, Colombia: The Haunted Hotel
According to Muisca legend, the waterfall was created by Bochica, who used his staff to break the rock and release the water that covered the Bogotá Savannah. According to another legend, during the Spanish conquest in South America, in order to escape slavery the indigenous people of the area would jump off the Salto Del Tequendama and become eagles to fly to their freedom.
In 1924, the then-luxurious Hotel (Refugio d)el Salto opened on the cliff facing the waterfall to welcome wealthy travelers visiting the Tequendama Falls area.he hotel closed down in the early 90s, thought to be linked to contaminated river water.

Perched on a high promontory of the Balkan Mountains, this otherworldly structure resembles a great concrete saucer adorned with rousing socialist slogans. Now abandoned, the site has become one of the world’s most famous modern ruins; but as a symbol, Buzludzha is more than just a building, and its demise carries a deeper significance than can rightly be understood by the crowds of foreign visitors who now visit the monument from week to week.
