New to Steemit, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. I know it is customary to introduce yourself with an introduction blog but I started off with the story of me. 'Why' I am here on Steemit and 'why' I am writing about cryptocurrency. The next important detail to fill you in on is 'Why Not'.
I started writing when I was seven or should I say, was first published at seven. It was a school-wide contest and I was the winner. I had to write a poem that explained why. Thinking about how I became a writer I have been asking myself 'Why Not' about everything that pops into this brain in my head. To tell you the truth, I am not sure I ever became a writer. Instead, I think that it would be more fitting to say that I am a writer. I have always been and always will be. I could go months with typing my name and would still fancy myself a writer. A writer is really just a storyteller. Someone who weaves grand tales from shards of broken memories. Someone who can paint an entire room red without showing the color or ever saying a word about it. Often, a writer can't even tell you what makes them a writer and others who write just authors.
It's kind of the same thing as saying that I am the driver of the black car in the driveway. Yes, I do drive the black car but technically, I'm not a driver. I do not do deliveries, I do not race around in circles and I most certainly do not get paid to drive anyone anywhere. Those of you who do know a professional driver is picturing them right now speeding down the interstate in a race car dressed in a suit and tie. Desperately weaving in and out of traffic in a mad dash to get to work on time.
The reason there are those who do and those who are 'naturally gifted' or do something 'very well' is simple! Those who do something that they enjoy seemed to achieve success over those who are gifted but do not enjoy the task at hand. The reason that I am a writer is that writing is what makes my soul shine. I never feel like I am sitting down to climb a mountain when I sit down to write. I have wanted to write a story when I had to write poetry or wanted to write a horror novel when I had a tech piece do. The key is not to be good at it but to be happy doing it.
As I begin a career of sharing my innermost thoughts with my fellow Steemians, I am sure that there will be many more pieces that I write because I have to not because I want to. Those of you who choose to follow me or read more than one of my blogs, articles, and posts will find that this can be reflected in my work. If you are familiar with my writing, you will be able to tell immediatly if I am wanting to or having to write at any given moment. When I want to write, my work will shine like my soul does when I'm doing something that I love. So to write about cryptocurrency is the love of my life. I am proud to be a Steemian and even more proud that I do what makes my soul shine!!
