The assortment of plants I have been potting up this weekend, waiting to be potted up. I'll share the results later in the week.
I know it isn't the 'thing' to simply post a few pictures with very little text, but I am hoping you will see this as a quick, "Hello" over the fence in or #steemitvillage. This weekend is the American holiday of Independence or 4th of July. As the 4th is midweek it is celebrated the weekend prior.
We are keeping it a bit quiet with just one dear friend who is back on the Cape from California for the summer. It's nice to have one or a few guests at a time, I think.
Anyway, short post to say hello and even though I have been potting up new containers, Monty, My little Chi, is showing his disgust at how much mummie has let the grass grow up in our new gravel terrace. "Tsk Tsk" he seems to say, just prior to anointing all my pots, as he does each morning.
We are lucky in our location that we never have to go out to see fireworks. Our vantage point across the bay allows us to see various towns fireworks displays. And as each town does them a different night, we usually get a few days of displays. Last night we enjoyed this one from the Country Club a few towns over whose lovely grounds jut out into the sea and give us a great, if not distant view.
This is not a very good display but my little phone did the best it could. It was much more dramatic in real life.
Tonight we will have a few more as well.
Well, I hope all my American #steemitvillagers are enjoying this holiday weekend, and to everyone else, I hope your weekend is just lovely for the sake of being lovely.
