Hello dear community, first of all I hope that you are all well and that you had a weekend that has been full of interesting experiences! In this post, I would like to talk a little about alchemy and hope you can expand your knowledge about this occult science.
Here you can see some pictures of minerals and during the Renaissance which was an epoch between the 15th and the 16th century there were some revolutionary changes within the alchemy. During this time, numerous new texts have been published and many old Roman or Greek writings were discovered and there were also important findings when it comes to hermetics and also the well-known emerald tablets of Hermes Trismegistos, which are also known as Tabula Smaragdina became more known during the Renaissance and were mentioned in different alchemical writings. In general, it can be said that many old writings have been translated during this time and thus numerous new influences of knowledge have been incorporated into alchemy, which led to the practice changing in numerous things and alchemy reaching a new climax. Previously, alchemy was even more associated with occultism and through the combination with new scientific discoveries through old texts, the importance has changed more and this also led to the fact that experiments were carried out more detailed and professional than before. Particularly formative for some findings of sciences was the Greek philosopher Aristotle whose texts have been translated and published more and one of the most formative works during the Renaissance was the so-called Corpus Hermeticum, which involved a collection of numerous old Greek texts in which there was a lot about Hermetic teaching, which led to the fact that more and more mysticism has also flowed into alchemy. This work was also one of the reasons why a new form of hermetics was created and this old knowledge inspired numerous alchemists and not only that the practice changed, also numerous new theories have emerged and it can be said that this time has brought about a fundamental revolution through the knowledge of old wisdom.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about alchemy! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
