Women tend to overdo it in the name of beauty. Makeup has become the biggest hype nowadays. It can really do wonders. In fact it is not just makeup anymore, it’s a makeover. There is a great chance that the girl you meet at the club, the next morning is a completely different person. A bit deceiving and according to the way I see it, not good.
To start with, all the contouring, the strobing, the layers and layers of foundation and powder and blush that you have slapped on your face does not look natural or good AT ALL. When I see girls with so much makeup on, I scratch my face and I feel bad for their skin that is buried-and resting not in peace-under the 2cm of stucco. Scratching your face however, is not even a choice for you girl cause you will be left with a ditch.
Their phone usually has 20% of their makeup on. That disgusting image of the clogged speaker with a beige-ish paste, oh God. When they kiss you or hug you they leave a stamp of their face on you like a petit souvenir. Their face has no pores, no wrinkles, no nothing. Just fake shadows and illuminations that after three hours will all be melted down and they start to look like Guernica.
And OK. Who am I to judge? You want to spend one hour to get painted like that before going out? Perfectly fine by me. But at least do it the right way. There are hundreds or thousands of tutorials in youtube, showing you the proper way to apply all that shit on your poor face.
Especially in the summer, there are Umpa-Lumpas everywhere! Orange -erm sorry bronzed- little heads with porcelain white necks. Is this the fashion now? Maybe I’m outta this and I don’t know it. Is that the new trend? Don’t think so.
Makeup is very useful to cover a pimple, to freshen up your tired face a bit, but till there. All the rest is just carnival.
