It all sucks. One look at the system in our various countries/places of residence and many of us are sent on a downward spiral towards rock bottom.
I mean, the problem is right there; clear and obvious to everyone, so why wouldn't they (political class, corporate organizations, civil society movements and the likes) just fix it?
For many of us, these issues can get to us so badly that they begin to affect the quality of our lives; ranging from our conversations all the way to our actions affecting our relationships, choices and even our health.
Some of us realize this in time and choose total or partial detachment, or at least that's certainly what I did and continue to do. While that does seem to work and certainly has its advantages, I personally don't believe it is the best option that can be taken.
Accepting the boundaries of our limitations and seeking to influence those within the walls of out domain should be the goal. For instance, while we cannot control user interest or activity in hive, we can certainly control our own interest and influence our own communities on this platform with varying degrees of success.
Any broad scale plans for social revolution should be put aside for the achievable, measurable and more judgmental purview of our own little spheres of influence.
