Good to see you again! What I saw on Twitter today wasn't particularly offensive. . . I've been feeling this way about most social media for a while, and this was just the saw that broke the camel's back. Everyone sees their "enemy" as a caricature instead of a 3-dimensional person, and every argument requires that both side take the most extreme position possible instead of finding a practical middle ground. Quite honestly, it's exhausting, and I don't have the energy for it.

Fortunately a vote in the US does still technically matter, and I'm really sorry that yours has been taken away. I just hope we can maintain enough sanity in the American government that our democracy doesn't rot from the inside.
