If a man wishes to be sure of the road he’s traveling on, then he must close his eyes and travel in the dark.
And that's what I decided to do. When I started to believe that everything I built and worked towards seems to be false. I felt lost and empty not understanding the true meaning of life. Nothing can satisfy me anymore and nothing can make me happy. There is something missing inside of me and there is a far place I call home.
“Why am I here?”, “What’s the purpose of life?” and “What happens after we die? I don't know what to believe in, but I am still walking the dark road looking for the light. I feel completely lost and alone cut off from people. But that's my choice until I can understand myself. I need to move away and start a new life where I feel more comfortable and that's in nature. The places I haven't given value before are the closest to my heart right now. This didn't happen overnight, but a long story to tell.
While every one of us has a different life, we might all have one purpose. We might be lost so that we can find our way back Home. We might be in the dark so that we can understand what light is. Everyone is different and everyone has a different experience, but all lead to the same destination.
…Time to go into the dark
where the night has eyes
to recognize its own.
There you can be sure
you are not beyond love.
The dark will be your womb
tonight.
The night will give you a horizon
further than you can see.
You must learn one thing.
The world was made to be free in
Give up all the other worlds
except the one to which you belong.
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.
