Hi, guys!:)
I promised that I'll keep this topic updated until everything will be 100% fine, so here is the continuation of my story about fixing my vision back to normal.
I already wrote a post about surgery itself, about how everything was done and how I felt right after. Now I have a rehabilitation period, and the first week after surgery passed.
First of all - I had to buy myself really cool sunglasses. In fact I never had my own sunglasses in my all life before, cause to put them on I would have to take off regular ones, and it was something I could not afford, but now things changed, and I'm a happy owner of my own sunglasses:) The reason why I had to buy them as fast as I could was simple - after surgery you have a terrible "fear of light". I really felt like a new-born vampire (add my garlic allergies here lol:). For first three days I've been wearing them even at home and even at night. First - to protect my eyes from light, second - to avoid accidentally touching my eyes. Yes, you're not allowed to touch them at least for two weeks, even if it feels like there's something in them. And believe me, it feels so.
Second thing I had to learn how to do was how to wash my head without a single drop of water getting on my face. I'm not allowed to use water to wash my face for two weeks as well, only sterile napkins. But washing head is different, no one can avoid washing it for two weeks. So I learned some acrobatic tricks lol:)
Another sad thing was that I had to cancel my psychotherapist (couldn't find the way to get to her), and it's so happened that it was the period when I needed it most. I didn't update this topic for a while, may be soon I'll be brave enough to write a separate post about how everything goes. Not that good as I wish it could be.
Yesterday I started working again. As I said before I usually do it using Pomodoro timer, set on 45/15. On my best days I can do 8-10 pomodoro a day, but now I get myself a terrible headache before time runs out. So, only 30/30 pomodoro, and only 3-4 of them, that means only 1,5-2 hours of pure work. Not much, but it'll change soon.
All the other time I mostly spend with my dog. I think soon she'll be able to write a book "Introduction to napping with your after-surgery human-mom".
So, if to sum up everything, rehabilitation period is not a piece of cake. But I'm so happy when I open my eyes! All the side effects will go away soon, and my absolute happiness will stay:)
And again I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone, who supported me!
Thank you, dear friends! Thank you, Steemit!:)
I wish you all the best and will be happy if you'll support me with vote:)
Love, Inber
