It's like a lottery, isn't it? You've got to be in it to win it. Yes. It's like when you're praying for the lottery and God actually speaks down to you and says, go buy the damn lottery ticket first.
So, I don't know if you've heard of that joke, but yeah, it just reminds me of that. No, these are lovely, lovely. But what else have you been doing? This is something you had shared that you had had before, so what are you working on right now? Um, I'll share a little piece that I put on my timeline recently.
You'll like this one, family, I think, it's just some hand-drawing stuff. Um, you know, I've got so many that I've got on the go constantly, I'm sure, I don't know, but you do a bit of something and let it gestate for a bit, and then you come back to it. But this was, um, I sort of, I started doing these series of pictures, and they're almost like floating zen islands, like a terrarium of the mind, and it's just all about, sort of, I love drawing lichen and mosses and roots and things like that, so, yeah, it's almost like something, it's like my happy place, I can imagine, a floating island of some peaceful nature, you know.
And it's a regular ballpoint pen you've got, right? Yeah, yeah, I use some alcohol markers that I just put down, like, almost like a coat of either pencil and then rough undercoat of the, um, alcohol markers, and then use just a ballpoint pen to, um, punch it out with line. It looks really pretty, I mean, I love the colour that you've got down there with the coffee thingy, so it doesn't, it's not very big right now, so I can't see, but you've got those trees, oh, nice. So is it completed, or are you still working on it? Still working on it, yeah.
How big? I've been working on it for years. Oh, gosh. How big is this piece? It's about 24 inches by 24, something like that.
That's not bad. Yeah. It's a good size.
