Dear Steemians,
Today I want to share a book recommendation with you about the blockchain technology.
Special thanks to for her advice to post my answer to her comment as a blog. Britta you prove to be a valuable contact and advisor for me in explaining me how I can work on Steemit.
I finished to read a book about the blockchain revolution from Don Tapscott and Alex Tapscott. Tough reading because quite technical and very instructive. They give some hindsights about how it works and can help the people who do not possess a bank account to benefit of the technology.
I was quite astonished to read that 2.5 Billion persons do not possess bank accounts. However most of them possess smartphones and blockchain can be a benefit for money transfer, wealth improvement, data safety, transparency, rightfulness and a fair distribution and recognition of everyones work.
I also love the IoT principle which would save a lot of costs in some areas and improve the service quality and emergency responsiveness in case of incidents as well as a fair redistribution of energy (like solar generated electricity) which would go directly from one spot to another instead of going throuhg another provider who gets a high margin, the procedure would warranty a fair price agreed between two person.
Also in terms of author rights for artists, musicians and others people in the show industry.
If you did not, it is a must read book.
One of the aspect of Facebook is that Mark Zuckerberg did not make the same thing as the smarter Google co-founders who hired a mentor in the name of Eric Schmidt who helped them develop a solid business. Facebook did things, it is right to take risks and fail. but never gave the impression to draw the lessons related to the data privacy matters.
Blockchain is definitively the right thing for the future. It will take time as the guys want to avoid the issues that Internet was confronted with. I guess the same skepticism applies towards blockchain technologies than the one internet was dealing with. However, my asumption is that the acceptance will go faster than with internet, as people see what the technology can bring in a positive way.
What seems to be utopic could become real very soon and a fair share of money, business development, security, data privacy protection and all the related advantages will be possible.
I guess if some of you need support to explain the advantages to reluctant people this book can be of great help as it gives you hints about the broad services which can be provided with the blockchain technology. It will give you some arguments to convince everybody.
I hope this is helpful for you.
