Behind the glass wall is a new series to share some thoughts, experiences, random events etc. Musings of the office life. This is the first post of the series.
Coffee klatch
noun: A casual social gathering for coffee and conversation.
It was a shiny bright afternoon, 3 pm, busy with the keyboard and mouse trying to understand a problem, stuck with the different thoughts of approaching the problem. Mind was tired already and blinded by the approaches which was tried already.
Its time for a coffee, exclaimed a colleague and I agreed since my mind also needed a break.
Grab a cup, fill the coffee, move into the 'relaxation' area to free up some thoughts.
After sitting in a comfortable place, the conversation began with movies - netflix etc.
Looking through the window we notice how the buildings around us have come up. The green cover is now lost, more and more constructions, moving cranes, mud filled up trucks, dust flying everywhere. Its been 3 years since moving into this gigantic glass building a.k.a tech park(office space which houses tech companies). The number of companies, people and correspondingly traffic has also increased drastically.
The focus of the conversation moved into how people are able to easily afford cars and bikes these days. The financial companies offer loans based on the salary, so it makes everyone easier to buy a car within few months into employment. All these culminate on road as traffic! Is that the only reason ? Not at all, there can't be a single reason for everything!
Its been 20 mins already, these conversations never end. For people in Bangalore, 'traffic' and 'climate' is always a topic of interest.
3:25 pm, back to desk, typing the system password to unlock the system(laptop) and get lost in the virtual world of programming/coding.
