Celebrate the the principle of law that they they gave us.
For it is drenched in the blood from the backs of uncountable slaves, and drowned in the smokey stench of sacked villages.
You owe it to the enslaved, the raped, the exploited, to rejoice in the modern world.
No resentment, for it would be it a travesty.
Live now, and not lament something you romanticize about. Something you know nothing about.
Taking advantage of opportunities, just like the Romans did to all the known world at that time.
There is no excuse for sadness. It is self indulgent and egocentric.
It is every reason to celebrate.
We wouldn't be enjoying this 'now', if it wasn't for those cultures past and those opportunities taken.
They have now gone - a thing of the past.
They hold no guilt for the living, unless of course, you decide take on that guilt.
Self imposed self flagellation.
You insult your ancestors.
Everyone has suffered.
The SJ W's faux moralisms, the virtue signaler empty gestures, offer nothing.
The virtue signaler - who argues that modern civilization has done 'nothing but harm'.
...As they type away on their plastic product of modern civilization.
...Complaining about everything on the world wide web. The same WWW that is itself, a product of our modern civilization.
...Complaining about the evil corporations.
..The corporations that have installed your electricity cables, the ones you use to power up you computer, that powers your router – so you can enjoy the luxury to complain about how shit this modern world is.
Spewing your resentment, rather than your celebration- you make your way over to the refrigerator.
The refrigerator that the modern world has built.
Drinking an ice cold can of coke.
A can of that the modern world has manufactured.
As you pic up your remote control to turn down your air conditioner, you find your self righteous moral high ground is much more comfortable at 20 degrees Celsius.
Humidity interferes so much with typing out your anger at the crappiness of the modern world.
And this is what capitalism provides. Through free market, capitalistic growing economies, it raises the poor - up from starvation to subsistence.
....and by giving everyone opportunities that they have never had before, from subsistence to luxury.
If you don't see advantages of the free market and capitalism, you are blind.
As is capitalism.
It is gender blind, race blind, sexual preference blind.
It cares not.
Capitalism in its truer forms – the ones used for last 2000 years until very recently.
(bigger governments, more corruption- and the reasons for the corporation's we see today. In 'real capitalism', monopoly is almost impossible.)
Capitalism doesn't see humanity and ethics, it sees efficiency.
Like the cheap T-shirt you are wearing right now?
Sewn on the technology created last century, and thus allowing for it to be so cheap today.
'Cheap' means you can spend your excess money elsewhere.
It pays for holidays, and traveling.
Or funding a new enterprise..
Efficiency creates opportunity.
If you can't embrace true capitalism, you don't want true freedom - for others or yourself.
And for the SJW virtue signaler to truly embrace freedom?
That would entail shedding the chains of guilt and moral divisiveness they insist on putting on themselves - and ones they insist on seeing on others.
