Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time for family, food, warmth, and people coming together. But the truth isā¦ not everybody has that. Some people donāt have a big family. Some donāt have a building to go to. Some donāt have friends pulling up with a plate.
And honestly ā that includes me.
This year, Iām spending Thanksgiving mostly alone again. No big family table, no huge feast, no warm place full of people. But instead of letting that hurt sit inside me, I decided to flip it into something good. Something different. Something that can help somebody else who might feel the same way.
Thatās where the idea for this $100 Thanksgiving Giveaway came from.
Not to flex.
Not to look good online.
Not for clout.
But to show that even when you donāt have much, you can still give. You can still show up for somebody else. You can still make somebodyās holiday feel a little less heavy.
šš Why SantaSpot.xyz Exists
A lot of people wonder why I created SantaSpot.xyz (or Santaās Pot).
It wasnāt just an app idea ā it came from a deeper place.
I wanted to make a space where:
- people can give even if they only have $1
- community can build itself through sharing and referrals
- someone struggling could randomly get blessed at the right moment
- people like us ā the ones without big families or support systems ā could still be part of something
Thatās really it.
A digital potluck of giving.
A small way to spread hope to somebody who needs it.
And since I donāt have the big building or fancy nonprofit facility yet, this is the version of community I can build right now. Online. Through small donations. Through people who get it. Through people who know what it feels like to go without.
