I have a bad feeling about this.
No, actually I don't have any bad feelings about this, as long as they do it justice and use Ewan McGregor. Please, for the love of all things Jedi don't use someone else. This is my favorite of all the Star Wars characters and I would love a stand alone story about what happened to him between episode 3 and 4.
"You'll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view" - Obi-Wan Kenobi
Director Stephen Daldry is said to be in early development stages of this movie, and that's about all we know for now. There's no news regarding if Ewan McGregor will reprise the role as the wise Jedi master, but I honestly can't imagine them not using him. We also know nothing about a release date, when it will be set, literally nothing, all we can do is some speculation.

"Only a Sith deals in absolutes." - Obi-Wan Kenobi
I think the most obvious time period for the story will be right after the whole Jedi Order was betrayed by stupid Anikin Skyalker in Revenge of the Sith and before he is old as balls in A New Hope. Little is known about what Obi-Wan did for the 18 years, between arriving on Tatooine with baby Luke and then randomly stumbling upon a grownup Luke just in his hour of need.
I really hope this is the movie where they can finally introduce a real life Ahsoka, my other favorite character in the Star Wars universe, the Padawan of Anikin before he turned to the dark side. When it comes to the villain they would have to introduce someone new, or maybe it could be Darth Maul....
Cheers guys, thanks for reading, drop some comments and tell me what you think about all this.
